Job Description:
About the Role we are seeking experienced and safety focused individuals to join our clients Production Charge Up Crew in the Democratic Republic of the Congo The team will be responsible for safely charging and firing production blast holes in accordance with site plans operational schedules and strict safety protocols Key Responsibilities Handle transport and use explosives in compliance with mine regulations and company standards Charge production holes rings or stopes using approved blasting techniques and materials Prepare blast sites including inspecting holes priming loading stemming and tie ins Safely install and test initiation systems non electric or electronic Communicate closely with supervisors and other departments to ensure safe and effective blasting operations Complete accurate records of blast data and explosives usage Conduct inspections and ensure work areas are secured before and after blasts Requirements Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in a similar underground production charge up or blasting role Valid blasting certificate or recognized explosive handling qualification Strong knowledge of underground blasting practices and safety protocols Familiarity with modern initiation systems and blasting accessories Physically fit and capable of working in challenging underground conditions Team player with good communication skills
